Businessman, wife held for duping investors

A businessman and his wife were arrested here when they were on their way to surrender in connection with alleged duping of denizens of crores of rupees, police said on Saturday.
Subhash Aggarwal, Managing Director of Stop Loss Commodity Ltd which is operating in the city, and his wife Snehlata were caught by Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing yesterday when they were on their way to the Police Headquarters to surrender, a senior police official said.
Several documents, cash worth Rs 1.1 lakh and jewellery were recovered from their possession, he said.
"The arrests came following a tip-off that Aggarwal and his wife would surrender at the PHQ around mid-day. They were intercepted near PHQ around 11:50 am yesterday," he said.
