Mustapa To Woo Singapore Companies To Invest In Malaysia

International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamad will attend a business seminar and dialogue session here tomorrow to woo Singaporean businesses to invest in Malaysia.
The seminar is jointly organised by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Malaysia's Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and International Enterprise (IE) Singapore.In a joint statement here, the organisers said the trade and investment mission led by Mustapa is aimed at attracting Singaporean companies to do business in Malaysia as well as enhancing bilateral economic relations between both countries.
Apart from Mustapa, Singapore's Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang will also speak at the seminar entitled "Business Opportunities in Malaysia", to be held at the Shangri-La Hotel.
The statement said potential investors expected to attend the seminar are from the high value and high growth areas being promoted under the New Economic Model and the liberalised services sectors such as oil and gas, electrical and electronics,information and communications technology,.
